Officer: "Okay Berry, what happened? Why did we find a cigarette bud with your DNA on it?"
Berry: "Well, I was walking home from the park when I heard a noise coming from the museum. I was smoking a cigarette, and when I saw what was happening I dropped it in shock."
Officer: “What exactly did you see?”
Berry: "Well, while I was looking in the window I saw a man around the age of forty break into the dragon ruby display case and run in the back of the museum out the back door."
Officer: “What did the man look like? Did you see anything else?”
Berry: “I couldn’t really see the man that well to describe him, but I also saw him drop something before he stole the ruby.”
Officer: “Could you identify what he dropped?”
Berry: “No sir.”
Officer: “Okay, so when you saw this happen, why didn’t you contact the police?”
Berry: “I didn’t have my phone with me, and when I got back to my house, I heard that the janitor already called the police, and I didn’t think it was necessary to call again.”
Officer: “Okay thank you mister Mann for coming in today. That’s all the questions for now.”
Berry: “Okay, thank you!"
